Even though WAR: Age of Reckoning is still in the Beta testing stage of the
game, the select players that have been able to experience what the game is like
enjoy what they are able to do, see, and hear. Of course, opinions will differ
widely based on players' preferences and what type of games they like to play,
but there's on doubt that WAR will be a huge MMORPG to hit the big scene when it
debuts hopefully in 2008 as many people and online computer players are hoping
for. But until then, the Beta stage will have to suffice and many players are
already psyched about everything in the game, all the way from the battles that
are able to be waged right down to the very characters that are able to be
chosen.
The Characters in WAR are a bit different from another online computer or other
role-playing game. In WAR: Age of Reckoning, characters are chosen based on
which team you would like to join. There are two major sides to the game, the
Armies of Destruction and the Armies of Order. As you could easily guess, the
Order team is the good team and the Destruction Army is the evil team. But don't
worry because there will be plenty of character options for both teams to choose
from.
Armies of Order
The Armies of Order that players are able to join are composed of good armies
that are fighting on the side of good. There are several characters that players
in WAR can choose from. They can choose to be a Dwarf, a High Elf, or even part
of The Empire. By choosing one of these characters the player is also choosing
his or her basic role in the battle and will have specific things to accomplish.
Also, by choosing the characters of the Army of Order there will also be
benefits to each character that the player will have to contend with. For
example, if a Dwarf is chosen to be played then the player must know that one of
the Dwarf's main goals is to protect his fellow-players, the other characters
that are part of the Army of Order. Even though the Dwarf can engage in battle
by him or herself, helping your fellow-soldiers is simply one goal that the
Dwarves have while being a part of the Armies of Order.
Armies of Destruction
As with any basic game of good versus evil, WAR also offers the Army of
Destruction to the players who want to test out their dark side. The Army of
Destruction is the evil army that can be chosen by a player when he or she is
choosing the character that they are going to be playing. As with the Armies of
Order, choosing a character on the Army of Destruction Side also has good and
bad points to it. For example, becoming a Greenskin in the Army of Destruction
has at least one good benefit that can actually be used as a war tactic in
battling. This war tactic is known as the Waaagh. The Waaagh is basically a
group of Greenskins joining forces in battle to destroy everything in their
field of vision and grasp. They are some of the most powerful players in the
game if they use their might collectively, which is a major bonus for Greenskin
characters in the game.
WAR has many other careers and characters that can be chosen for both Armies,
but these are the basic benefits that players will be able to see when they
decide on choosing between good and evil. WAR: Age of Reckoning offers plenty of
good options for the Armies of Order as well as many beneficial options for the
Armies of Destruction.
